  1.Database upgrades and migrations

  2. High Availabilties ( Log shipping, Replication, Mirroring,Cluster & Always on) & Troubleshooting.

  3. Performance Tuning

  4. SSIS and SSRS administration (good to have experience in managing reports and packages

  5. at least 2 experience on any of the cloud tech either on Azure or AWS (Preferebly Azure)

  6. should be experienced in providing 24x7 support

  SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

   

  The successful person for this role will be highly experienced in SQL Server administration.They will

  have experience with:

  • High-Availability design and builds using technologies SQL Server FailoverClusters

  • Database, system and application performance tuning

  • Replication and Cloning Design and Solutions

  • Database upgrades and migrations

  • Backup recovery plans and execution

  • Data integration (SSIS), analytics (SSAS), business intelligence (SSRS), and

  visualization.

  • SQL Server on Azure: - IaaS and PaaS

   

  EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

   

  SQL Server DBA that has the following skill sets:

   

  A minimum of 5-8 years’ experience with the following is required:

   

  • Provide 24x7 support and on-call rotation.

  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining high quality of deliverables.

  • Install and configure new Microsoft SQL Server instances!

  • Should have experience in database design, installations, and conversions Responsible for

  database backup and recovery procedures, access security, and database integrity.

  • Experience in Database Performance, Maintenance, and automate SQL server tasks

  • Install SQL Server service packs and updates.

  • Configure and manage SQL Security settings.

  • Make system design recommendations according to Microsoft SQL Server best practices

  • Good hands on experience with all High availabilities (Log shipping, Mirroring, Replication,

  AlwaysOn & Clustering), DR planning & troubleshooting of all HA issues.

  • Troubleshoot SQL server and application sluggishness and poor performance.

  • Hands on experience in performing database version upgrades and Edition upgrades.

  • Experience with SSIS is a must.

  • Good knowledge of SSRS and SSAS.

  • Extensive knowledge of SQL and SQL server tools.

  • Hands on experience in migrating databases from On-prem to Cloud.

  • Prior experience with any of the cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) is a must.

  • Preferably with proven experience on MySQL, PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.

  • Flexible, team player, “get-it-done” personality.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.

  • MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus

   

  Experience identified below are additional positives:

   

  • Supporting multi-site environment

  • Experience with virtualization technologies

  • Experience with Idera, Cohesity and Commvault

  • Experience with using ServiceNow.

  • Previous MSP experience

  • Experience with Azure, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud, and/or AWS
