• Tool Maker Preventive Tool Maintenance

  Job Description

  Responsibilities:

  Tool & Die Fabrication & Fitting: Manufacture, assemble, and fit new tools, dies, moulds, jigs, and fixtures according to detailed tool engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.

  Tool Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production tooling; troubleshoot die wear, punch shearing, flash, burrs, and parting line defects.

  Precision Machining & Hand Fitting: Operate conventional shop-floor machines (surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, milling machines, lathes, radial drills) and execute manual scraping, polishing, and lapping.

  Tool Trials & First-Off Clearance: Assist during tool trials on presses or moulding machines; debug tool performance and modify punch/die clearances or core/cavity alignments to achieve part clearance.

  Tool Life & History Logging: Document tool maintenance history, tool modification logs, spare part consumption, and tool breakdown frequency using tool room spreadsheets

   

  Experience: 0 to 3 yrs

  Education: Diploma/BE in Mech
