  Job Description:

  The main "Database Architecture Anchor, Query Optimisation Specialist, Data Pipeline Engine & System Performance Guardian" for our software engineering and business intelligence operations is the SQL Developer Database Architecture, Query Optimisation, ETL Pipelines, Data Modelling & Performance Analytics Specialist. Your main responsibility is to design, develop, test, optimise, and maintain complex relational databases, stored procedures, ETL pipelines, and high-performance queries across enterprise data environments, while engineering managers, chief technology officers (CTO), and enterprise data architects create macro data governance frameworks, cloud database budgets, infrastructure roadmaps, and strategic data policies.

   

  Key Skills: 

  RDBMS & Advanced SQL Mastery: Proficiency in administering enterprise RDBMS platforms (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) and developing sophisticated SQL scripts (window functions, recursive queries, complex joins, dynamic SQL).

  Mastery of database profiling tools, reading query execution plans, deadlock resolution, index architecture optimisation, partitioning, and memory management are all necessary for performance tuning and execution plan analysis.

  Building automated ETL pipelines, data transformations, data staging, dimensional modelling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema), and maintaining data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse) are all examples of ETL/ELT development and data warehousing.

  Database Security & Transactional Management: Complete understanding of isolation levels, role-based authorisation structures, data masking, compliance frameworks, and transaction control (BEGIN, COMMIT, ROLLBACK).
