  Job Description:

  The main "Utility Operations Anchor" and "Plant Infrastructure Guardian" for our manufacturing facilities and industrial engineering activities is the Utility Maintenance Engineer-Utility Operations & Industrial Infrastructure. Your main responsibility is to oversee, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise centralised plant utilities, such as steam boilers, industrial chillers, compressed air systems, cooling towers, Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems, HVAC units, and power distribution systems, while production engineers concentrate on core manufacturing lines and quality teams keep an eye on product specifications. As the "Guardian of Plant Uptime, Energy Efficiency, Utility Safety Compliance, Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and Zero Unplanned Downtime," you take direct responsibility for making sure that all production departments have a steady supply of necessary utilities.

   

  Key Skills: 

  Deep technical knowledge of steam generating systems, refrigeration cycles, pneumatic systems, hydraulic networks, psychrometrics, and industrial water treatment chemistry is required for utility infrastructure and thermal engineering.

  Mechanical and Electrical Troubleshooting: The practical ability to identify problems with control panels, PLC-based utility automation systems, pumps, valves, pipes, heat exchangers, blowers, motors, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).

  Statutory Regulations & Safety requirements: Excellent knowledge of the Pollution Control Board (PCB) emission recommendations, factory safety acts, pressure vessel safety requirements, and Indian Boiler Regulations (IBR) or local boiler codes.

  Energy Auditing & Optimisation: Capacity to compute air compressor specific power, boiler efficiency, chiller Coefficient of Performance (COP), and utility leak detection programs.

   

  Experience: 3 to 7 yrs
