  Job Description

  Duties:

  Advanced Machine Setup & Changeover Execution: Follow engineering draw files and blueprint guidelines for performing complete mechanical and systemic changeovers on CNC milling, turning, and VMC systems.

  Workholding & Fixture Engineering Alignment: To ensure zero runout, install, align, and clock complicated manufacturing fixtures such as hydraulic vices, bespoke chuck jaws, modular fixture plates, and rotary 4th/5th axis tables.

  Tooling Assembly & Geometry Configuration: Use digital pre-setters or touch probes to specify precision tool length and radius offsets while choosing, assembling, and loading the necessary cutting tool strings.

  Program loading and syntax validation involve retrieving accurate part programs from central networks, transferring them to machine controllers, and checking code syntax for correct initialisations of M-code and G-code.

  DryRuns & Prove-OutManagement: Take charge of the crucial first-run validation trail by carrying out air-cuts, dry runs with axis graphics, and single-block steps to visually confirm toolpaths and totally remove machine crash hazards.

   

  Focus Skills:

  CNC Controller Setup Mastery: Complete operational competence in creating manual data inputs (MDI), manipulating coordinate systems (G54-G59), navigating controller screens, and updating tool geometries.

  Industrial Metrology & Dial Inspection: Outstanding ability to read precision micrometres down to a hundredth of a millimetre and set up dial test indications to clock workholding surfaces inside micron limits.

  Geometric Dimensioning and Blueprint Parsing: Read intricate manufacturing drawings, decipher sectional views, and verify Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Callouts.

  Mechanical and Metallurgical Logic: Excellent practical knowledge of chip loads, fixture clamping forces, cutter geometries, and metal cutting dynamics across alloys and cast grades.
