Power and Facilities Repair Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
Duties:
Emergency and Breakdown Maintenance Execution: To reduce production downtime, quickly identify and fix complicated mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation issues on high-speed manufacturing equipment.
Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: To avoid unanticipated machine malfunctions, plan, schedule, and carry out preventive and predictive maintenance schedules that include vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, alignment checks, and electrical panel audits.
Total Productive Maintenance & Continuous Improvement: Promote TPM programs, Autonomous Maintenance, and Kaizen activities; assess equipment performance loss and availability to enhance overall equipment effectiveness.
Identify essential spare parts, maintain ideal reorder levels, audit spare quality, oversee vendor service agreements, and guarantee spare availability for planned engineering overhauls.
Root Cause Failure Analysis and Engineering Upgrades: Apply permanent engineering changes, poka-yoke fixes, and machinery retrofits; do 5-Why analyses and Fishbone diagrams on recurrent machinery failures.
Focus Skills:
Mastery of Manufacturing Machinery and Industrial Systems: Extensive hands-on experience with mechanical drives, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics, CNC/VMC machines, automated conveyors, and utility boilers/chillers.
Industrial Automation & Electrical Troubleshooting: Practical skills in examining electrical control panels, deciphering wiring schematics, and troubleshooting VFDs, sensors, servo motors, PLC inputs and outputs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi).
TPM, RCFA, and CMMS Proficiency: Demonstrated capacity to apply the pillars of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), carry out Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), and manage work orders and assets using CMMS software.
Industrial Safety & Compliance Knowledge: Strict adherence to OSHA rules, machine guarding requirements, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, Permit to Work (PTW) systems, and industrial safety laws.
