  Job Description:

  The Tool Room Engineer in Manufacturing Industries is responsible for designing, manufacturing, maintaining, and troubleshooting precision tooling, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures required for shop-floor production. Working closely with product design, CNC programming, quality, and maintenance teams, this role oversees tool fabrication, mold/die repairs, preventive tool maintenance schedules, and dimensional verification to minimize production downtime, optimize tool life, and ensure components meet strict engineering tolerances

   

  Key Skills: 

  Strong practical experience in tool and die making, mold building, jig & fixture design, and precision machining within manufacturing setups.

  Proficiency in reading mechanical engineering drawings, process instructions, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

  Hands-on expertise with conventional machine tools (surface grinding, milling, turning) and familiarity with CNC, EDM (Sink/Wire), and CMM processes.

  Hands-on capability in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo) for basic tool design modifications and drawing updates.

  Excellent troubleshooting skills for identifying mold, die, or fixture wear and mechanical alignment issues
