  Job Description:

  The VMC Programmer is responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC Computer Numerical Control programs for Vertical Machining Centers (VMC). Working closely with toolroom managers, production supervisors, and quality engineers, this role transforms CAD models and technical blueprints into precise, efficient G-code and M-code programs to manufacture high-precision mechanical components, molds, dies, and fixtures.

   

  Key Skills: 

  Strong proficiency in CAM programming software (Mastercam, PowerMill, NX CAM, SolidCAM, or Fusion 360) and 2D/3D CAD design tools.

  In-depth expertise in VMC controller operations, macro programming, and G-code/M-code troubleshooting (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Heidenhain, or Mitsubishi controllers).

  Strong command of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles, precision measuring instruments (micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, CMM reports), and stack-up tolerances.

  Comprehensive understanding of cutting tool geometry, tool life management, high-speed machining (HSM) techniques, and material machinability index.

  Strong mechanical problem-solving ability, shop-floor troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail
