  Your Duties:

  Electronic Payment Processing & Autoposting: Download, import, and process Electronic Remittance Advices (ERA) from clearinghouse portals into practice management software, checking that system automation maps payments to correct patient encounters accurately.

  Manual EOB Entry & Paper Cash Application: Manually evaluate and enter paper Explanation of Benefits (EOB) files for non-electronic insurers, methodically dividing apart major authorized amounts, deductibles, copayments, and non-covered balances.

  Bank Deposit & EFT Reconciliation: Reconcile daily electronic financial transfers (EFT) and lockbox paper checks against the healthcare facility’s principal bank statements to confirm that every cent received matches the recorded ledger lines.

  Contractual Write-Offs & Adjustment Governance: Apply accurate contractual adjustments and write-offs based on pre-negotiated provider-payer fee structures, using correct Claim Adjustment Reason Codes (CARCs).
