  Your Duties:

  Advanced CAM Programming & Toolpath Engineering: To operate CNC milling (VMC) and turning centers, design and create accurate 3-, 4-, and multi-axis machining programs using specialised CAD/CAM software.

  G-Code & M-Code Optimisation: To maximise finish quality and reduce machine wear, write, read, and optimise raw alphanumeric machine instructions by manually adjusting feed rates, spindle speeds, and cutting depths.

  Fixture Design & Workholding Engineering: Create unique clamps, jaws, and production fixtures in CAD modules to guarantee that components stay precisely stable and rigid under high cutting forces.

  Tooling Selection & Metallurgical Configuration: Determine precise speeds and feed formulas by evaluating raw material metrics (aluminium, steel, titanium, and polymers) to choose the best cutting tool geometries, carbide grades, and coating styles.

  First-Off Setup Verification & Dry Runs: Oversee the shop floor's initial setup validation loops by carrying out visual dry runs, confirming step-blocks, examining offsets, and using precision micrometres to audit the first-off component against engineering prints.

  Continuous Improvement & Cycle-Time Reduction: To reduce part cycle times and production overheads, audit current program archives, rewrite ineffective toolpaths, and apply high-speed machining (HSM) techniques.
