  Job Description

  Duties:

  Preventive and Predictive Electronic Maintenance: Create, plan, and carry out thorough Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for all automated equipment, instrumentation, and plant electronic control systems.

  Component-Level PCB Troubleshooting & Electronic Repair: To reduce production line downtime, oversee quick reaction and in-depth component-level technical diagnostics when PCBs, microcontrollers, embedded boards, power supply units, servo drives, VFDs, and sensors malfunction.

  Manage, program, and calibrate electronic sensors, encoders, HMIs, PLCs, and electronic safety light curtains throughout CNC equipment and automated assembly lines.

  Hardware Reliability Engineering and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA): Implement permanent circuit improvements and protections, increase Mean Time Between Failures, and conduct systematic RCFA investigations for significant electronic card and component failures.

  Electronic Component Inventory & Cost monitor: Reduce dependency on costly external OEM card replacements, monitor repair budget (OpEx), maintain inventory of essential electronic spares, and oversee electronics lab equipment.

   

  Focus Skills:

  Circuit Diagnostics & PCB Repair Mastery: Expertise in reading electronic schematics, soldering/desoldering (SMD & Through-Hole), using diagnostic equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, signal analysers), and repairing power/control PCBs at the component level.

  Comprehensive understanding of microcontrollers, embedded C/C++, PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron), VFDs, servo drives, industrial communication protocols (RS485, CAN bus, Modbus, PROFINET), and HMI interfaces.

  Instrumentation & Sensor Calibration: Hands-on experience installing, debugging, and precisely calibrating industrial sensors, transmitters, encoders, and signal conditioning modules.

  Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) & Root Cause Analysis: Skilled in applying ESD protection and circuit modifications to minimise recurrent failures, calculating reliability metrics (MTBF, MTTR), and guiding RCFA approaches (5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA).
