  Responsibilities:

  VMC Machine Operation & Milling Execution: Load raw materials, forgings, or castings into jigs, fixtures, or pneumatic vises while operating 3-, 4-, or 5-axis Vertical Machining Centers safely and carrying out standard milling operations in accordance with SOPs.

  In-Process Feature Inspection & Dimension Verification: Use precision instruments (micrometres, verniers, bore gauges, height gauges, thread plug gauges) to check that important milled parameters such as hole pitch, pocket depths, bore diameters, surface flatness, and thread pitch are adhering to blueprint tolerances.

  Tool Wear Monitoring & Wear Offset Adjustment: To maintain tight machining tolerances, continuously monitor cutting action, chip colour, and surface finish quality. Enter tool wear compensation adjustments on controller interfaces.

  Autonomous Machine Care & Swarf Management: Check coolant concentration levels, slideway lubrication oil, air pressure, remove metal chips from enclosures and clean fixture locating surfaces on a daily basis.

  Component Finishing & Deburring: Complete post-milling tasks such as chamfering, washing, edge deburring, surface roughness inspections, and methodically arranging completed parts into pallets or protected material handling trays.

   

  Required Skills: 

  VMC Machine Operation & Milling Execution: Real-world experience managing controller tasks and running 3-, 4-, or 5-axis Vertical Machining Centers (VMC).

  Precision Metrology & Blueprint Reading: Expertise in reading mechanical engineering drawings, deciphering GD&T symbols, and using verniers, micrometres, dial test indicators (DTI), height gauges, and bore gauges with accuracy.

  fundamental Controller Knowledge & Tool Offset Compensation: To monitor execution and perform fundamental tool wear offset changes on VMC controllers, one must have a practical understanding of G-code/M-code structures.

  Workpiece Clamping & 5S Discipline: Strict observance of fixture site cleaning procedures, appropriate clamping torque, PPE requirements, chip safety regulations, and 5S workplace upkeep.
