• Production Engineer Manufacturing Process Development

  Job Description

  Duties:

  Production Execution & Line Management: Oversee daily shop-floor production schedules for all manufacturing lines, making sure that task order fulfilment, material movement, and daily shift volume targets are fulfilled precisely.

  Process Optimisation & Line Balancing: To reduce waste and increase OEE, analyse assembly cycle times, locate line bottlenecks, conduct time-and-motion studies, and balance manufacturing line workflows.

  SOP Enforcement & Quality Adherence: To guarantee zero-defect manufacturing output and adherence to ISO standards, establish and implement Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and quality check gates.

  Cross-Functional Stoppage Troubleshooting: Immediately identify the root cause of shop floor malfunctions, material shortages, or quality deviations by working closely with maintenance and quality engineers.

  Lean Manufacturing & Kaizen Execution: To increase yield and operator efficiency, promote 5S shop-floor organization, the removal of seven wastes, value stream mapping, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

   

  Focus Skills:

  Manufacturing Engineering & Line Balancing: Extensive technical knowledge of capacity utilisation, cycle time analysis, line balancing, and manufacturing processes.

  Lean Manufacturing & Problem Solving: Practical understanding of root-cause problem-solving techniques (A3, 5-Why, Fishbone diagrams) and Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, SMED, Poka-Yoke, Kanban).

  Shop-Floor Leadership & Manpower Handling: The capacity to guide, inspire, and lead teams of technicians and operators working multiple shifts while upholding stringent safety, morale, and discipline standards.

  EHS & Industrial Safety Compliance: Strong knowledge of machine safety procedures, ergonomic standards, personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance, and industrial safety laws.
