  Location: In And Around Chennai

   

  Your Duties:

  Perform rigorous physical, wiring, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming, in-process, and installed electrical and instrumentation components.

  Inspect high-voltage/low-voltage switchgears, PCC/MCC control panels, power transformers, junction boxes, cable trays, grounding grids, and conduit installations.

  Verify the installation, wiring, and loop checks of field instruments such as pressure/temperature transmitters, flow meters, level sensors, control valves, solenoid valves, and safety interlocks against Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and loop sheets.

  Conduct specialized E&I testing routines, including insulation resistance (Megger) testing, earth pit resistance measurement, voltage/current balance checks, loop calibration verification, and signal continuity tests.

  Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning inspection walk-throughs, punch-list preparation, and clearance tagging for new electrical infrastructure and machinery automation retrofits.

  Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), tag non-compliant equipment, and collaborate with maintenance and contractor teams to execute corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  Enforce compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines, Hazardous Area Classifications (ATEX/Ex standards), National Electrical Codes, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
