• Production Engineer for Productivity Improvement

  Job Description

  Who you are: 

  To increase throughput, shorten cycle times, and get rid of non-value-added stages, analyse and optimise current manufacturing processes, line layouts, and workflow sequences. Create, evaluate, and update Control Plans, Work Instructions (WI), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Use line balancing strategies and Lean Manufacturing approaches (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, Single-Minute Exchange of Die, or SMED). Oversee the root-cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagram) for equipment downtime, process variances, quality rejects, and line stoppages. Plan Preventive/Autonomous Maintenance procedures and perform Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) in conjunction with the maintenance and tooling teams. Keep an eye on important manufacturing measures, such as labour productivity, first-pass yield, scrap percentage, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Help with pilot runs, shop-floor tooling/jig design verification, process validation, and new product introduction (NPI).
