• QC Engineer Product Quality and Inspection

  Job Description

  Duties:

  Perform rigorous incoming, in-process (IPQC), and final inspections (FQC) of manufactured parts, assemblies, castings, sheet metal components, or machined parts against engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.

  Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread plug gauges, surface roughness testers, and optical profile projectors with high accuracy.

  Validate setups, first-article inspection (FAI) reports, and routine batch clearances before and during active production runs.

  Identify surface defects, burrs, dimensional deviations, or material discrepancies, issuing immediate stoppage notices or Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for out-of-spec parts.

  Segregate, tag, and quarantine rejected or non-conforming materials in designated holding areas to prevent accidental mixing with approved inventory.

  Monitor calibration statuses of shop-floor gauges and testing tools, reporting due or damaged instruments to the Quality Assurance metrology team.

  Record inspection dimensions, reject percentages, and quality data accurately into shop-floor logs, inspection sheets, or ERP/QMS modules.

  Enforce strict shop-floor safety guidelines, testing protocols, and quality compliance standards across all operating shifts

   

  Focus Skills:

  Strong practical experience in shop-floor Quality Control (QC), mechanical inspection, and metrology within manufacturing environments.

  Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints, process sheets, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) symbology.

  Hands-on dexterity with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, height gauges).

  Good understanding of basic manufacturing processes (CNC machining, welding, sheet metal stamping, assembly) and common defect types.

  Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to make objective pass/fail evaluations based on engineering standards.
