  Job Description

  The Maintenance Engineer in the Manufacturing Sector: Equipment Reliability, Breakdown, and Preventive Maintenance The main "Plant Uptime Anchor, Equipment Reliability Specialist, Breakdown Root-Cause Analysis Engine & Manufacturing Operations Guardian" in our manufacturing operations is the Root-Cause Analysis & Plant Operations Specialist. Your main responsibility is to carry out thorough preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, oversee emergency breakdown repairs, maximise total productive maintenance (TPM) procedures, and maintain the integrity of all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment throughout the shop floor, while plant directors and engineering heads create overall manufacturing strategies, maintenance capital budgets, and plant expansion roadmaps. As the "Guardian of Machinery Uptime, Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and Plant Safety Compliance," you assume direct responsibility for reducing production downtime and optimising overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

   

  Key Duties

  Execution of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: To avoid unscheduled stoppages, implement and oversee planned Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs for all production equipment, CNC machines, conveyors, utility systems, and automated lines.

  Emergency Breakdown Repair & Root-Cause Analysis: Conduct 5-Why and Fishbone root-cause studies to stop recurring breakdowns; oversee real-time troubleshooting and quick repair during critical equipment failures.

  Total Productive Maintenance & Autonomous Maintenance: Create standardised maintenance checklists, educate machine operators in autonomous maintenance procedures, and spearhead TPM programs throughout industrial facilities.

  Oversight of Utility and Facilities Infrastructure: To guarantee a steady supply of electricity and utilities, oversee plant utilities such as air compressors, industrial chillers, boilers, diesel generators, electrical panels, transformers, and water treatment systems.

  Spare Parts Inventory & Maintenance Budgeting: Manage spare inventory registers, handle buy requisitions, identify essential machine parts, calculate reorder levels, and keep an eye on maintenance operational expenses.
