  Job Description

  The main "Vertical Machining Execution Engine, Precision Milling Specialist, Workpiece Setup Anchor & Part Quality Guardian" in our manufacturing operations is the VMC Operator in Manufacturing Vertical Machining Center Operations, 3/4/5-Axis Machining, Precision Inspection, Tool Wear Compensation & Manufacturing Analytics Specialist. Your main responsibility is to safely operate 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) to carry out daily precision milling production runs, while Operations Directors, Manufacturing Managers, CNC Programmers, and VMC Setters create production schedules, milling toolpaths, G-code programs, and fixture setups.

   

  Key Duties

  VMC Machine Operation & Milling Execution: Load raw materials, forgings, or castings into jigs, fixtures, or pneumatic vises and carry out standard milling operations in accordance with SOPs while safely operating 3-, 4-, or 5-axis Vertical Machining Centers.

  In-Process Feature Inspection & Dimension Verification: Use precision instruments (micrometres, verniers, bore gauges, height gauges, thread plug gauges) to examine important milled parameters, such as hole pitch, pocket depths, bore diameters, surface flatness, and thread pitch, to make sure blueprint tolerances are being followed.

  Tool Wear Monitoring & Wear Offset Adjustment: To maintain tight machining tolerances, enter tool wear compensation adjustments on controller interfaces while continuously observing cutting action, chip colour, and surface finish quality.

  Autonomous Machine Care & Swarf Management: Check coolant concentration levels, slideway lubricating oil, air pressure, remove metal chips from enclosures and clean fixture locating surfaces on a daily basis.

  Component Finishing & Deburring: Complete post-milling tasks such as chamfering, washing, edge deburring, surface roughness inspections, and methodically arranging completed parts into pallets or trays for safe material handling.
