  The main "3D CAD Modelling, Mechanical Design & Product Engineering Anchor" in each of our manufacturing facilities is the SolidWorks Design Engineer - 3D Parametric Modelling, Product Development, Sheet Metal & Manufacturing Tooling Specialist. Your major responsibility is to use SolidWorks to conceptualise, model, detail, and validate complex 3D mechanical components, sheet metal enclosures, structural weldments, tools, and assemblies while production engineers maximise shop-floor throughput and quality engineers maintain product compliance. As the "Guardian of 3D Model Integrity, Parametric Efficiency, GD&T Precision, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM)," you assume direct responsibility for converting engineering concepts into reliable, production-ready 2D manufacturing drawing packages and 3D CAD models.

   

  Key Skills: 

  Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modelling, surfacing, sheet metal, weldments, large assembly management, configuration management, and SolidWorks PDM is required for SolidWorks Mastery & Parametric CAD Design.

  Comprehensive knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, welding, casting, injection moulding, and material properties are all part of mechanical engineering and manufacturing processes.

  GD&T, Detailing & Tolerance Analysis: thorough understanding of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards, surface finishes, fits and tolerances, 1D/2D stack-up analysis, and drafting best practices.

  FEA Simulation & DFMA: Practical understanding of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) standards and SolidWorks Simulation (static stress, displacement, factor of safety).

   

  Experience: 3 to 7 yrs
