• Production Supervisor In-Process Quality Control

  Job Description

  Duties:

  Supervise daily shop-floor activities, assign work duties to machine operators and assembly technicians, and ensure adherence to daily production schedules.

  Monitor product quality at various stages of production, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality management systems (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949).

  Enforce strict shop-floor Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies, proper PPE usage, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and 5S workplace discipline.

  Track daily shift output, line speed, material consumption, scrap/rejection rates, and machine downtime; record operational logs in ERP/MES systems.

  Perform preliminary troubleshooting during equipment stoppages and coordinate immediately with Maintenance Engineers to minimize line downtime.

  Conduct shift handover meetings, safety toolbox talks, and brief teams on daily volume targets, quality updates, and operational risks.

  Identify production bottlenecks, participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA/5-Why) for quality or yield issues, and drive continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities

   

  Focus Skills:

  Strong leadership, communication, shift management, and shop-floor conflict resolution abilities.

  Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes, line balancing, cycle times, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

  Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing practices, 5S, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and defect prevention tools.

  Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and production schedules.

  Basic computer literacy and experience logging production data into ERP modules or Manufacturing Execution Systems
