  Responsibilities:

  Power Distribution & Electrical Equipment Maintenance: Organise, plan, and carry out routine maintenance for high-voltage and low-voltage switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, diesel generators, and UPS systems.

  Electrical Troubleshooting & Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCA): Quickly identify and fix complicated electrical problems, relay tripping, motor burnouts, short circuits, and abnormalities in control wiring; spearhead Root Cause Failure Analysis to stop recurrent power outages.

  Power Quality & Energy Efficiency Optimisation: To reduce overall operating power costs, monitor plant electrical load parameters, harmonics, voltage sags, and power factor correction systems; put energy-saving measures into place and optimise transformer/generator loading.

  Control Panel & Drive Automation Support: Help automation teams with motor starter configurations, soft starts, servo drives, and sensor/actuator field cabling by reading, interpreting, and updating electrical single-line diagrams, schematic drawings, and control logic layouts.

   

  Required Skills: 

  Electrical Power Systems & Equipment Mastery: In-depth practical understanding of industrial power distribution equipment, such as diesel power generators, HV/LV switchgear, transformers (dry and oil-filled), air circuit breakers (ACB), moulded case circuit breakers (MCCB), protective relays, induction/synchronous motors, and VFDs.

  Electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), three-line schematics, control interlocks, protective relay coordination curves, and sub-station layout drawings can all be thoroughly examined and analysed.

  Electrical Safety, LOTO & Statutory Regulations: Strict attention to earthing/grounding integrity, arc-flash protection, electrical safety permit-to-work systems, and electrical safety standards.

  Power Quality Analysis & Troubleshooting: Proficiency in diagnosing power abnormalities and component insulation degradation using power quality analysers, insulation resistance testers (Megger), thermal imaging cameras, multimeter arrays, and relay test sets.
