Who you are:
Use Practice Management software to accurately process and post large volumes of Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs) and manual Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers. Apply the proper contractual allowances based on payer fee schedules, assigning non-covered amounts, deductibles, co-insurance, and co-payments to secondary claims or patient balances. Determine zero-payment vouchers, partial payments, and claim denial codes (CARC/RARC). Accurately tag denial reason codes in the system and forward claims to the AR and Denial Management teams for settlement. To guarantee complete financial alignment, balance daily posted payment batches against bank deposit slips, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) notifications, and credit card processing reports. To automatically initiate the creation of secondary or tertiary insurance claims or the delivery of clean statements for patient billing, confirm the accuracy of the initial payment posting.
