  Who you are: 

  Correctly enter patient information from hospital face sheets and registration forms into practice management systems and electronic health records. Use payer portals and automated eligibility clearinghouses to confirm current active insurance coverage, policy/group numbers, copay/deductible amounts, and coverage effective dates. Appropriately assign primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance payers; precisely set up billing address hierarchies, relationship codes, and guarantor demographic information.Before billing, scrub newly created patient accounts against clearinghouse pre-edit rules to correct mismatched insurance policy IDs, improper address formats, and missing subscriber DOBs. To guarantee 100% registration coverage with no missing or duplicate patient profiles, audit daily patient registration batches against clinic appointment logs and facility admission rosters.
