Job Description :
- Machine Setup: Mount fixtures, vices, and raw materials accurately.
- Programming: Write, edit, and optimize manual \(G\)-code and \(M\)-code programs for \(3\)-axis to \(5\)-axis VMCs.
- Tooling: Select appropriate cutting tools and calculate optimal speeds and feeds to maximize tool life.
- Component Proving: Run the first test piece, measure it with precision instruments, and adjust offsets to achieve perfect dimensions.
- Quality Check: Read blueprints and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot production errors, manage tooling wear, and minimize machine downtime
Recommended Skills :
- Education: Diploma or ITI in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
- Controllers: Deep hands-on knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, or Haas operating systems.
- Measuring Instruments: Strong ability to use micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to visualize and interpret complex engineering drawings.
