• Mechanical cum Purchase Engineer jobs at chennai 
  
  Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical Engineering
  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of automation machines, fixtures, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Coordinate with the Design, Production, and Project teams for smooth project execution.
  • Support machine assembly, installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain engineering drawings, documents, and revision records.
  
  Purchase & Procurement
  • Source mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation components from approved vendors.
  • Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate with suppliers, and prepare Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Track material deliveries and ensure timely procurement as per project schedules.
  • Verify purchased materials against technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with Stores, Accounts, and Production teams for material receipt and invoice processing.
  • Maintain procurement records, vendor database, and purchase reports.
  
  Qualifications & Eligibility
  • Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Freshers are welcome to apply. Candidates with 0–2 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Purchase, Manufacturing, or the Industrial Automation industry are also encouraged to apply.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering drawings, BOM, MS Excel, and industrial components will be an added advantage.
  • Strong willingness to learn, good communication skills, and a positive attitude.
  
  Required Skills
  • Basic understanding of mechanical components and industrial automation systems.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, bearings, motors, sensors, and machine elements.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.
  • Good communication, negotiation, and vendor coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); ERP knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD/SolidWorks is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
