  Job Description:

  Our vertical milling division's "Technical Bridge" and "Precision Catalyst" is the VMC Setter. Your main task is to convert cold milling machines into extremely stable, active production lines taking full physical and systemic ownership of setting up multi-axis Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) while VMC programmers create abstract toolpath arrays inside office CAM suites and machine operators oversee steady-state execution loops during production shifts. As the "Guardian of First-Off Precision, Setup-Time Reduction, and Tooling Rigidity," you directly oversee the installation of intricate milling fixtures, program block loading, initial tooling parameter configuration, precise geometry offset calculations, and first-part validation loop execution.

   

  Key Skills: 

  VMC Controller Setup Mastery: Complete operational confidence in creating manual data inputs (MDI), modifying coordinate systems (G54-G59), accessing controller panels, and modifying tool length and radius geometries.

  Milling Metrology & Dial Inspection: Outstanding ability to read precision micrometres down to a hundredth of a millimetre and set up dial test indications to clock workholding surfaces inside micron limits.

  Geometric Dimensioning and Blueprint Parsing: Read intricate manufacturing drawings, decipher sectional views, and verify Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Callouts.

  Mechanical and Metallurgical Logic: Excellent practical knowledge of cutter geometry, chip loads, fixture clamping forces, and metal milling dynamics across alloys and cast grades.

   

  Experience: 3 to 6 yrs
