  Responsibilities:

  Schematic Capture & Component Selection: Using CAD software, create clear electronic schematics and select the best microcontrollers, sensors, voltage regulators, and passives depending on performance goals and power budgets.

  Multi-Layer PCB Layout Design: Design sturdy multi-layer Printed Circuit Boards using industry-standard tools, assuring precise trace routing, grounding methods, and impedance matching.

  Signal Integrity & Power Analysis: Use oscilloscopes and logic analysers to confirm temporal boundaries while analysing hardware designs for signal integrity, cross-talk, and power delivery performance.

  Design for Manufacturing & Assembly: To ensure high yield at assembly facilities, adjust layouts to manufacturing capabilities by verifying component footprints, panelization rules, drill sizes, and solder mask clearances.

  EMC/EMI Testing & Compliance Governance: Conduct hardware pre-compliance tests for electromagnetic interference and compatibility, modifying shield structures and filter circuits to comply with FCC or CE code restrictions.

   

  Required Skills: 

  Electronic CAD & Schematic Mastery: Full operational command of sophisticated electronics design programs, particularly Altium Designer, KiCad, or OrCAD, for PCB layout and schematic capture.

  Embedded Firmware C/C++ Architecture: Expertise in creating interrupt service routines, driver layers, and low-level firmware for 8-bit to 32-bit embedded microcontroller devices.

  Lab Instrument & Diagnosis Competence: Skilful use of sophisticated diagnostic lab equipment, such as SMD rework stations, logic analysers, spectrum analysers, and high-bandwidth digital oscilloscopes.

  Power Management & Analogue Circuit Design: A solid understanding of the behaviours of analogue circuits, such as linear power supply, switching regulators, operational amplifiers, and analog-to-digital converters (ADCs).
