  Job Description

  The Production Planning and Control (PPC) Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring production workflows to ensure optimal resource utilization and timely product delivery. This role acts as the central bridge between Sales, Procurement, Production, and Logistics, transforming customer demands and master schedules into actionable, shop-floor production plans while controlling inventory levels and lead times.

   

  Responsibilities:

  Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly Master Production Schedules (MPS) and Material Requirement Plans (MRP) aligned with demand forecasts and capacity limits.

  Monitor production progress against schedules, identifying potential delays or bottlenecks and adjusting plans to minimize downtime and missed targets.

  Coordinate with the Procurement team to ensure timely arrival of raw materials, bought-out components, and tooling.

  Perform capacity planning and line balancing to optimize machine load, labor deployment, and overall equipment utilization.

  Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), such as Schedule Adherence, On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery, Work-In-Progress (WIP) levels, and inventory turnover.

  Maintain accurately updated Bill of Materials (BOM), production routings, and inventory records within the ERP system.

  Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments to expedite urgent jobs and manage engineering change orders.

   

  Skills:

  Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).

  Deep understanding of production planning techniques, inventory management strategies, capacity forecasting, and BOM creation.

  Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (Kanban, JIT, Pull Systems, Value Stream Mapping).

  Excellent analytical, data-driven decision-making, and organizational skills.

  Strong cross-functional communication and conflict resolution capabilities to balance competing operational priorities.
