  Job Description

  The Electronics Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic assemblies, circuit boards, and electronic equipment. Working on the shop floor or in a service lab, this role works from engineering schematics and wiring diagrams to diagnose hardware faults down to the component level, perform precise soldering, and maintain electronic systems to ensure minimal downtime and high product reliability

   

  Responsibilities:

  Assemble, wire, and test electronic components, PCB assemblies (PCBA), wiring harnesses, and sub-systems using manual tools and automated test equipment (ATE).

  Troubleshoot electronic circuit failures down to the component level using laboratory diagnostic instruments (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators, logic analyzers).

  Perform high-precision surface-mount device (SMD) and through-hole soldering, desoldering, component replacement, and PCB trace repairs according to IPC standards.

  Inspect, calibrate, and adjust electronic sensors, power supplies, controllers, and signal conditioning modules.

  Maintain complete documentation of test results, maintenance logs, failure analysis reports, and engineering change implementation.

  Assist electronics engineers in building, testing, and debugging benchtop hardware prototypes for new product development.

  Comply with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection protocols, workplace health and safety rules, and 5S cleanroom/lab standards

   

  Skills:

  practical understanding of circuit principles, analogue and digital electronics, and component identification (resistors, capacitors, transistors, ICs, microcontrollers).

  Excellent soldering abilities, including fine-pitch component rework, for both Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through-Hole Technology (THT).

  practical expertise using diagnostic instruments (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, spectrum analysers, DC power supplies).

  the capacity to read and comprehend assembly bill of materials (BOM), circuit diagrams, PCB layout drawings, and electronic schematics.

  High dexterity, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong troubleshooting mindset
