  Job Description:

  The Assembly Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical assembly operations in a manufacturing environment. This role involves designing and improving assembly line layouts, establishing standard work procedures, designing assembly fixtures and tooling, driving productivity metrics (takt time, cycle time), and troubleshooting assembly line bottlenecks to ensure products are built safely, efficiently, and to exact design specifications

   

  Key Skills: 

  Strong technical background in mechanical assembly techniques, fast-fastener torque standards, press fits, adhesive bonding, and electrical wire harness integration.

  Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts, 5S, Poka-Yoke, Line Balancing, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).

  Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo) for fixture design and assembly layout planning.

  Familiarity with Quality tools (PFMEA, APQP, Process Control Plans, Gauge R&R) and statistical tools.

  Strong cross-functional communication, analytical problem-solving, and project management skills
