Job Description :
E&I Technician Help for Emergency Failures
Job Description
Our plant operations division's "Automation Response Engine" and "Sensory Network Guardian" is the Instrumentation & Electrical (E&I) Technician. Your main responsibility is to maintain the plant's electrical networks, automated control loops, and field instrumentation operating at maximum uptime, converting intricate electrical loop drawings and process parameters into dependable, real-world machine behaviours, while production supervisors oversee manufacturing throughput and mechanical crews handle heavy structures. Acting as the "Guardian of Calibration Accuracy, Safety Interlock Integrity, and Equipment Runtime," you take direct execution ownership of calibrating transmitters, diagnosing wire issues, maintaining low-voltage switchgear, and troubleshooting loop networks.
Responsibilities:
Field Instrument Calibration & Tuning: Calibrate, examine, and verify industrial measuring equipment including pressure, temperature, flow, level, and analytical transmitters utilising accurate calibration manifolds and fluke loop calibrators.
Low-Voltage Power & Motor Control Execution: Maintain and troubleshoot low-voltage electrical infrastructure up to 415V, such as contactors, thermal overloads, magnetic breakers, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Control Valve & Actuator Maintenance: Service, rebuild, and tune automated control valves, smart positioners (using HART protocol communicators), and pneumatic actuators to avoid hunting or delayed reactions.
Schematic, P&ID & Loop Sheet Literacy: Read and interpret sophisticated Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), electrical single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, and loop wire sheets to isolate system issues during emergency breakdowns.
Safety Interlock & ESD System Verification: Verify that safety interlocks, hazardous gas detection loops, and crucial emergency shutdown (ESD) systems are in accordance with industrial plant safety baselines by conducting functional proofs.
Preventative Electrical Maintenance: Conduct regularly scheduled electrical audits, inspect panel terminations, use megohmmeters to measure motor insulation resistance, and run thermal scans to eliminate hotspot concerns.
Skills:
Industrial Metrology & Loop Testing Mastery: Expert operational command over field calibrators, process meters, deadweight testers, and HART hand-held field communicators.
Electrical Infrastructure & Troubleshooting Competence: Expertise in deciphering multi-page wiring matrices and properly maintaining distribution grids, low-voltage power lines, relays, and control transformers.
Automation Platform Diagnostic Literacy: Expertise in using PLC/DCS software interfaces to trace analogue inputs all the way to field terminations, monitor live rungs and force bits.
Industrial Safety Codes & Lockout-Tagout (LOTO): Absolute adherence to safety frameworks including tight LOTO execution, arc-flash boundary awareness, and explosive-zone area code rules
We invite you to apply and explore this exciting opportunity!
