  Job Description

  Duties:

  Real-Time Shift Quality Control Execution: Ensure that parts match design blueprints by directing and carrying out physical in-process and final inspection loops throughout automated assembly lines or machining centers.

  Precision Dimensional Layout Inspection: Use high-precision metrology instruments to verify tight geometric tolerances while conducting thorough dimensional audits on first-off and operating production items.

  fault Containment & Quarantine Controls: As soon as a fault is discovered, non-conforming items are immediately isolated and quarantined, and official Material Rejection Notices are issued to halt downstream flow.

  First-Time-Through Yield Optimization: Work closely with Production Engineers to examine shift scrap arrays and do quick physical inspections to find the underlying reasons of machine alignment drift or tooling wear.

  Inspection Gauge Verification & Floor Calibration: To guarantee that there is no measurement drift on the line, conduct daily pre-shift calibration verifications using specialist measuring equipment, hand tools, and bespoke jigs.

   

  Focus Skills:

  Metrology Equipment & Precision Hand Tool Mastery: Proficient use of precision instruments, such as optical profile projectors, digital Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore dial indicators, and thread plug gauges.

  GD&T Blueprint Reading & Layout Literacy: Expert ability to accurately interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) feature symbols and read intricate manufacturing engineering blueprints.

  Physical Defect Diagnosis & Core Quality Logic: Knowledge of the seven standard QC tools (Pareto charts, check sheets, histograms) and a keen technical eye for spotting surface, dimensional, or structural material problems.

  Shop-Floor Decision-Making and Communication Decisiveness: The capacity to maintain strict quality standards, effectively inform production teams of flaws, and oversee quick containment procedures under pressure.
