• Production Incharge Shift Planning & Target Fulfilment

  Job Description

  Duties:

  Oversee end-to-end shop-floor production schedules, assigning targets across lines/shifts and ensuring timely execution of production plans.

  Direct and lead Production Supervisors, line leads, and shop-floor technicians, optimizing manpower distribution and operator efficiency.

  Monitor critical production key performance indicators (KPIs) including OEE, line yield, scrap/rework percentages, and downtime hours taking swift corrective actions when targets fall short.

  Partner with Quality Assurance/Control teams to enforce strict shop-floor quality gates, conduct 8D root cause analysis on internal rejections, and maintain zero-defect standards.

  Collaborate with Plant Maintenance and Tool Room teams to execute Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs, minimize unplanned machinery breakdowns, and streamline tool changeovers.

  Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S workplace organization, Kaizen continuous improvement drives, Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), and shop-floor waste elimination.

  Ensure strict adherence to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies, shop-floor safety protocols, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) rules, and statutory labor regulations

   

  Focus Skills:

  Strong leadership, team-building, and operational management skills to manage large, multi-shift shop-floor workforces.

  In-depth expertise in manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, sheet metal, stamping, casting, or molding) and line layout optimization.

  Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S, Kaizen, 8D problem-solving tools, and TPM execution.

  Deep understanding of shop-floor technical documentation, route sheets, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and engineering drawings.

  Hands-on proficiency with ERP manufacturing modules (SAP PP, Oracle, or MES) and MS Excel for daily production reporting and target tracking
