  Job Description

  Who you are: 

  Produce, assemble, and fit new tools, dies, moulds, jigs, and fixtures in compliance with GD&T specifications and comprehensive tool engineering drawings. Troubleshoot die wear, punch shearing, flash, burrs, and parting line flaws while performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production tools. Perform manual scraping, polishing, and lapping in addition to using standard shop floor equipment such as surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, milling machines, lathes, and radial drills. Help with tool trials on presses or moulding machines; troubleshoot tool performance and adjust core/cavity alignments or punch/die clearances to obtain part clearance. Use tool room spreadsheets to record tool maintenance history, tool modification logs, spare part usage, and tool breakdown frequency.
