  Job Description

  Who you are: 

  Plan, execute and monitor preventative (PM), predictive (PdM) and emergency maintenance of mechanical equipment including CNC/VMC machines, heavy presses, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, conveyors and utility piping. Perform rapid troubleshooting and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, proportional/servo valves, cylinders, mechanical actuators, bearings, shafts and power transmission components. Transmission health monitoring (CBM) programs use vibration analysis, thermography, dynamic balancing and oil lubrication testing to identify mechanical wear before catastrophic failure. Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for major mechanical failures, implementing robust engineering countermeasures to improve mean time between failure (MTBF) and reduce mean time to repair (MTTR). Manage spare parts inventory for critical machine components such as mechanical seals, bearings, couplings, hydraulic couplings, belts, and valves to reduce repair times. Works with tool shops and manufacturing teams to perform machine modifications, structural repairs, fixture alignment, and precision machine alignment (laser shaft alignment). Ensure compliance with strict environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations, lockout and tagout (LOTO) protocols, mechanical protection compliance, and legal requirements for equipment safety.
