• Payment Posting Executive Account Payment Processing

  Job Description

  Duties:

  Insurance & Patient Payment Posting: Accurately enter and allocate manual checks, credit card payments, EFTs, ERAs, and paper EOB payments into practice management systems against corresponding patient accounts and service lines.

  EOB/ERA & Adjustment Processing: Interpret complex EOB/ERA details to log contractual write-offs, allowances, co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, and non-covered service codes in accordance with payor contracts.

  Denial Identification & Routing: Identify initial claim rejections, partial payments, underpayments, and denials during the posting process; assign standard ANSI/CARC/RARC denial reason codes; and route unpaid claims to the AR follow-up and denial management teams.

  Financial Reconciliation & Balancing: Reconcile daily batch totals, posted bank deposits, and clearinghouse totals; ensure zero-balance variance between bank deposits and system-posted payments; and maintain audit trails.

  RCM Analytics & Ledger Tracking: Maintain operational tracking spreadsheets for daily payment batches, unapplied cash, posting turnaround times, payor variance trends, and deposit reconciliation logs

   

  Focus Skills:

  Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration (BBA), Life Sciences, Computer Applications (BCA), Arts, or equivalent finance/accounting diploma.

  Experience: 0 to 3+ years of hands-on experience in payment posting, cash application, EOB/ERA processing, or financial reconciliation within a U.S. Healthcare Medical Billing / RCM environment.

  Technical Mastery: U.S. Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), Medical Billing Software (eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD, Kareo, Brightree, Epic), EOB/ERA/EFT interpretation, CARC/RARC denial code recognition, basic accounting principles, and Excel reconciliation spreadsheets
