  Responsibilities:

  Perform complete mold changeovers, including dismounting completed molds, setting up new injection molds, clamping, and connecting hydraulic, pneumatic, and cooling water lines.

  Verify mold alignment, platen parallelism, tie-bar clearances, ejector pin couplings, and core-pull connections before initiating machine clamp-up.

  Load pre-programmed machine process parameters into injection molding controllers (e.g., Engel, KraussMaffei, Arburg, Sumitomo, Nissei) based on standard setup sheets.

  Connect, test, and troubleshoot hot runner temperature controllers, mold temperature controllers (thermolators), and hydraulic core sequences.

  Conduct initial purge, trial shot verification, and coordinate with Quality and Setting Engineers to achieve first-piece inspection clearance (T0/T1/FAIR).

  Clean, inspect, and perform basic PM on molds during changeovers (inspecting parting lines, clearing vents, checking ejector pins, applying anti-rust spray before storage).

  Adhere strictly to shop-floor safety protocols, overhead crane/hoist operating procedures, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) rules, and heavy rigging safety standards

   

  Required Skills: 

  Deep understanding of plastic injection molding machine operations, mold clamping mechanisms (toggle and hydraulic), and mold construction.

  Hands-on expertise in heavy rigging, overhead crane operation, mold transport, and precision platen alignment.

  Proficiency in connecting and troubleshooting mold utilities.

  Ability to read and follow setup parameters, engineering process sheets, and mold maintenance logs.

  Strong physical stamina, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a strict commitment to industrial safety
