  Job Description

  The Electrical Engineer leads the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems, power distribution networks, and control panels across manufacturing operations. This role ensures continuous equipment uptime, strict adherence to electrical safety standards (NEC/IEC/IEEE), energy efficiency optimization, and compliance with statutory power regulations.

   

  Key Duties

  System Design & Power Distribution: Create and examine electrical schematics, motor control centers (MCCs), cable size, switchgear layouts, transformer load balancing, and single-line diagrams (SLDs).

  Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment, distribution boards, PLCs, drives (VFDs), and backup power systems (UPS, diesel generators)

  Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform root-cause analysis (RCA) on drive failures, trip events, and power surges; carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical infrastructure.

  Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Make sure that factory safety laws and statutory electrical inspectorate standards are followed, and enforce electrical safety procedures (LOTO, arc flash protection, earthing/grounding checks).

  Energy Analytics & Asset Tracking: Use daily engineering tracking spreadsheets to keep an eye on power factor performance, energy consumption trends, electrical breakdown hours, and spare inventory usage.
