  Responsibilities:

  Daily Shop Floor & Shift Management: Ensure that all shift production targets are met safely and on time by supervising, directing, and allocating labour across assembly lines and machine blocks.

  Line Balancing & Cycle-Time Optimisation: Reduce operator idle times and rearrange work sequences to maximise overall throughput by analysing production lines using Time and Motion Studies.

  Lean Manufacturing & Waste Drawdown: Reduce material waste and layout friction by eliminating non-value-added steps using continuous improvement frameworks.

  Root Cause Analysis & Yield Corrections: Use 8D, 5-Why, or Fishbone analytical techniques to quickly troubleshoot unforeseen line stoppages and quality issues in order to put strong engineering fixes in place.

  Capacity Planning & Resource Deployment: To ensure that line setups never run out of parts, work closely with the logistics and Production Planning and Control (PPC) teams to estimate material usage.

   

  Required Skills: 

  Production System Management & Scaling: In-depth knowledge of material staging techniques, production routing pathways, bottleneck mapping, and mass assembly line design.

  Using Kaizen, VSM (Value Stream Mapping), SMED changeover strategies, and Poke-Yoke (error-proofing) setups, Lean Manufacturing Tools & Methodologies: Complete operational confidence.

  Engineering Blueprint & GD&T Competency: Proficiency in understanding intricate engineering drawings, assembly layout sheets, bill of materials (BOM) trees, and geometric dimensions and tolerance limitations.

  Statistical Process Control (SPC) & Data Analysis: Useful ability to track line stability by parsing control charts, capability indices (Cp/Cpk), and material defect matrices.
