  Responsibilities:

  Design, review, and modify electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic drawings, power distribution layouts, and control panel wiring diagrams using CAD tools.

  Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical infrastructure, transformers, switchgears, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and motor control centers (MCCs).

  Troubleshoot complex electrical errors, control loop issues, sensor failures, and power disturbances to minimize downtime during critical production runs.

  Plan and execute preventive (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) schedules for electrical assets, high-voltage/low-voltage switchgears, sub-stations, and backup utility power (DG sets, UPS systems).

  Conduct energy audits, track power quality metrics (harmonic distortion, power factor), and implement energy-saving engineering projects across the plant floor.

  Support capital engineering projects (CapEx), evaluate vendor proposals, select electrical bill of materials (BOM), and supervise electrical contractors during equipment installations.

  Enforce strict compliance with national electrical codes, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and arc-flash safety standards

   

  Required Skills: 

  Strong technical background in industrial electrical engineering, high-voltage/low-voltage power distribution, electric motors, and drive technology (VFDs/Soft Starters).

  Hands-on proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, engineering drawings, control loop diagrams, and CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).

  Practical knowledge of industrial automation fundamentals, including basic PLC logic (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider), industrial sensors, and instrumentation loops.

  Familiarity with electrical testing tools (power quality analyzers, insulation resistance testers, thermal imaging cameras) and CMMS/ERP systems.

  Excellent analytical, problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional communication skills.
