  Job Description

  The main 'On-Site Technical Authority, Equipment Installation & Customer Reliability Anchor' in client manufacturing facilities and field installation locations is the Service Engineer – Field Service Operations, Industrial Machinery Installation, Equipment Commissioning & Customer Technical Support Specialist. Your main responsibility is to carry out on-site assembly, installation, testing, commissioning, warranty maintenance, and complex troubleshooting for industrial machinery, automated systems, precision machine tools, or utility equipment delivered to client sites, while plant maintenance engineers oversee internal factory machinery. As the "Guardian of Equipment Operational Readiness, Field Service Excellence, Technical Troubleshooting Accuracy, and Client Satisfaction," you assume direct responsibility for converting engineered machinery specifications into fully operational, high-performing shop-floor production lines at client locations.

   

  Responsibilities:

  Field Installation, Testing, and Equipment Commissioning: Oversee the assembly, levelling, alignment, wiring connections, testing, and commissioning of industrial machinery, automation cells, CNC/VMC tools, and utility equipment at customer manufacturing facilities.

  On-Site Technical Troubleshooting & Emergency Repairs: To reduce client production downtime, identify and fix complicated mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC/automation faults on client sites under strict operating deadlines.

  Preventative Maintenance & Retrofit Upgrades: Make sure that machines function within OEM performance requirements by carrying out regular warranty repair schedules, annual maintenance contracts (AMC) and field retrofits, software, and hardware upgrades on deployed equipment.

  Protocol for Customer Operator Training and Handover: Before formal sign-off, give customer machine operators and maintenance staff thorough technical instruction on daily operations, regular safety inspections, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.

   

  Skills:

  Advanced proficiency in mechanical systems (drives, spindles, gearboxes, alignment), electrical panel wiring, hydraulic/pneumatic circuits, and PLC/HMI fault diagnostics (Siemens, Fanuc, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi) is required for electromechanical troubleshooting and industrial automation.

  Installation, Calibration, and Precision Alignment: Expertise in mechanical load testing, dial gauge inspection, geometric accuracy checks, laser alignment, and precision levelling during machinery commissioning.

  Customer Relationship Management and Technical Communication: Excellent communication skills when interacting with customers, the capacity to handle anxious clients during severe equipment failures, and a clear technical explanation of machinery problems and solutions.

  Site Safety and EHS Adherence: Total dedication to risk assessments at third-party production facilities, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance, and site safety requirements.
