• Maintenance Engineer Optimizing Machinery Performance

  Job Description

  Duties:

  Plan, schedule, and execute preventive, predictive, and autonomous maintenance programs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

  Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns on the shop floor; perform systematic troubleshooting to restore operations with minimal disruption.

  Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on recurring machine failures using 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone diagrams, implementing permanent Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

  Drive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) pillars, including Autonomous Maintenance (Jishu Hozen) and Planned Maintenance, to improve machine lifespan and OEE.

  Manage inventory levels of critical machinery spare parts, consumables, and replacement components; coordinate with procurement to maintain optimal stock levels.

  Supervise third-party vendors, equipment suppliers, and maintenance contractors during major overhauls, machinery installations, and utility servicing.

  Enforce strict shop-floor EHS compliance, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, equipment safety guarding, and permit-to-work (PTW) systems

   

  Focus Skills:

  Strong multi-disciplinary technical knowledge covering mechanical machinery, electrical panels, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, drives, and plant utilities.

  Practical experience implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Preventive Maintenance (PM), and Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) techniques.

  Proficiency in diagnosing machine breakdowns and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and fluid power diagrams.

  Hands-on familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or ERP maintenance modules for logging work orders and tracking spare parts.

  Strong leadership, shift supervision, communication, and emergency problem-solving abilities under production pressure
