  Job Description

  Experience: 3 to 5 yrs

  Education: Diploma/BE in Mech

  Location: In And Around Chennai

   

  Your Duties:

  Design for Manufacturability (DFM) & Assembly: Examine initial CAD designs, mechanical drawings, and BOMs from R&D; carry out thorough DFM/DFA reviews to optimise assembly sequences, tolerances, material choices, and part geometries for efficient mass production.

  Prototyping and Pilot Sample Fabrication: Arrange, oversee, and verify prototype builds; carry out trial runs, compare sample components to specifications, and address design or process inconsistencies early in the development cycle.

  Tooling Development & Process Flow Planning: Work with suppliers and tool rooms to design, evaluate, and approve press tools, casting dies, injection moulds, or machining fixtures; create line layouts, standard operating procedures, and Process Flow Diagrams.

  APQP Gateway Management & PPAP Submission: Oversee cross-functional APQP gateway evaluations from design freeze to mass production release; create and assemble comprehensive PPAP packages for internal and client approval.
