  Who you are:  

  Conduct thorough DFM/DFA evaluations to optimise part geometry, material choices, tolerances, and assembly sequences for efficient mass production. Examine preliminary CAD designs, mechanical drawings, and BOMs from research and development. Conduct trial runs, measure sample parts against specifications, plan, oversee, and validate prototype constructions; address design or process inconsistencies early in the development cycle. Work with suppliers and tool rooms to create, evaluate, and approve press tools, injection moulds, casting dies, or machining fixtures; create line layouts, standard operating procedures, and process flow diagrams. Create and assemble comprehensive PPAP packages for internal and client sign-offs; oversee cross-functional APQP gateway reviews from design freeze to mass production release.
