  Job Description

  The main "Financial Reconciliation Anchor" and "Cash Flow Integrity Guardian" for our healthcare billing operations is the Medical Billing Payment Posting Executive Revenue Cycle Management, Remittance Processing & Financial Reconciliation (EOB/ERA Posting, Denial Identification, Contractual Allowance, Credit Balance & Patient Payment Posting Specialist). Your main responsibility is to correctly apply, post, balance, and reconcile all incoming healthcare payments, including insurance checks, Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT), credit card payments, and direct patient copays/coinsurance into medical practice management systems, while charge entry executives log billable services and AR callers pursue unpaid claims.

   

  Key Duties

  Electronic and Manual Payment Posting: Quickly and accurately post paper Explanations of Benefits (EOBs), checks, and patient payment receipts into Practice Management (PM) systems as well as download, publish, and reconcile Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs).

  EOB/ERA Remittance Breakdown: In accordance with particular payer contracts and requirements, accurately parse paid amounts, contractual allowances, deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, and non-covered service costs.

  Identification of Zero-Payment & Denial: Determine and precisely post zero-payment remittances, recording precise Remittance Advice Remark Codes (RARCs) and Claim Adjustment Reason Codes (CARCs) to initiate downstream rejection operations for AR follow-up teams.

  Bank Deposit & Batch Reconciliation: To guarantee 100% financial alignment, complete daily end-of-day cash balancing by comparing posted batch totals in the billing system with bank deposit slips, lockbox statements, and EFT clearing records.
