Job Description
The main "Quality Verification Engine, Metrological Inspection Specialist, Physical Product Anchor, Non-Conformance Guardian & Quality Control Operations Integration Lead" for our enterprise manufacturing operations is the Quality Control (QC) Engineer in Manufacturing Industries Quality Inspection, Metrology, Non-Conformance Management, SPC, Material Testing & Operations Analytics Specialist. Your main responsibility is to inspect, test, verify, measure, and validate physical raw materials, in-process components, and completed manufactured goods, while Chief Quality Officers (CQOs), Quality Directors, Plant Managers, and Quality Assurance Managers create global compliance protocols, ISO frameworks, and strategic zero-defect initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Final, Incoming, and In-Process QC Inspections: Conduct thorough physical inspections of arriving raw materials, semi-finished components, and completed goods in comparison to engineering drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and quality inspection standard sheets.
Precision Metrology & Gauge Calibration: Manage master calibration schedules for all shop-floor gauges and measuring equipment; operate and maintain 2D and 3D precision instruments.
First-Piece Approval and Line confinement: Conduct First-Piece and First Article Inspections during line setup; in order to stop defects from spreading, place physical confinement or quarantine holds on production lots that don't meet specifications right away.
Material Testing & Metallurgical/Chemical Analysis: Perform physical, metallurgical, or chemical testing in accordance with product standards, and examine and validate Supplier Material Test Certificates.
Non-Conformance Reporting & Defect Tracking: Use physical NCR tagouts and ERP entries to record non-conforming materials; carry out initial defect classification, start prompt vendor/production rejections, and confirm the efficacy of rework.
Skills:
Manufacturing Quality Control & Inspection Mastery: A thorough technical understanding of sampling plans, final quality control (FQC), in-process quality control (IPQC), and incoming quality control (IQC).
Metrology, Blueprint Reading, and GD&T Capabilities: Skilled in using CMM, Vernier callipers, micrometres, surface profiling tools, and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ASME Y14.5.
Strong proficiency in carrying out Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) protocols, scrap tagging, and material quarantine procedures, as well as physical material testing (hardness, tensile, corrosion/salt spray, NDT).
Gauge Calibration & Metrological Traceability Discipline: Comprehensive understanding of NIST/ISO calibration traceability, measurement uncertainty calculations, gauge repeatability and reproducibility (Gauge R&R), and tool calibration systems.
