• Charge Entry Executive Healthcare Data Processing

  Job Description

  Duties:

  Patient Demographics & Insurance Verification: Pre-authorization data, insurance subscriber information, primary/secondary coverage rules, and patient demographics should all be accurately entered and verified into practice management software.

  Charge Posting & Superbill Entry: Accurately enter procedure codes, diagnostic codes, units, modifiers, and fee schedules by reviewing medical superbills, charge sheets, and electronic health record logs.

  Coding & ChargeScrubbing: To find and correct problems before a claim is generated, audit medical charges against fee schedules, specialty-specific billing criteria, and National Correct Coding Initiative modifications.

  Charge Lag Management & Queue Resolution: Keep an eye on daily encounter logs to make sure that all patient visits are billed within the allotted turnaround periods. This will help to minimise charge lag and clear out pending entry queues.

  Analysis of Rejection and Error Correction: Examine front-end charge entry problems or clearinghouse rejections, fix any missing or incorrect information, and quickly resubmit charges.

   

  Focus Skills:

  Medical Billing & Coding Fundamentals: Excellent knowledge of Place of Service (POS) codes, CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM coding structures, modifiers, and NCCI revisions.

  Medical Billing Software & EHR Proficiency: Practical knowledge of electronic claims clearinghouses, medical billing, and practice management (PM) software.

  Data Entry Speed & High Accuracy: Outstanding typing and 10-key numeric pad data entry abilities with no room for transposition errors in coding or financial sectors.

  Working knowledge of the main US healthcare payers, such as Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance companies (such as Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare), and managed care plans, is known as payer guideline knowledge.
