• CNC Setter Machine Changeover Specialist

  Job Description:

  Responsibilities:

  Complete Machine Setup & Proving: Mount, align, and dial in work holding fixtures, vices, jaw chucks, and tombstones; load G-code programs, verify tool paths, run dry runs/single-block modes, and execute First Piece component proving.

  Tooling Calibration & Work Offsets: Set precision tool holders, qualify cutting tool geometries, calibrate tool presetting values, establish work coordinate offsets (G54-G59), and optimize feed, speed, and depth-of-cut parameters.

  Quality Verification & GD&T Compliance: Perform comprehensive First Piece inspection using precision tools (CMM, height gauge, bore gauge, micrometers) against engineering drawings and GD&T specifications before handing over machines to operators.

  Setup Reduction & Troubleshooting: Implement Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) methods to minimize setup changeover times; troubleshoot dimensional drift, surface finish defects, chatter, and tool wear issues during production runs.

  Setup Documentation & Analytics: Maintain standard Setup Sheets, Tooling Lists, Process Control Parameter logs, and changeover downtime trackers using operational tracking spreadsheets.

   

  Experience: 3+ yrs

  Education: Any ITI/Diploma Graduation
