• CNC Operator Performing Quality Assessments

  Job Description

  Duties:

  Machine Operation & CyclicalLoading: Use specialised vices, fixture jigs, and hydraulic chuck systems to safely open, load, secure, and clear raw materials inside CNC turning centers or VMC units.

  Dimensional Quality Inspection: Use thread plug gauges, digital callipers, vernier scales, and precise micrometres to do thorough dimensional inspection tests on finished items to make sure they match blueprint specifications.

  ToolWear & InsertMonitoring: Under the guidance of the CNC Programmer or Setter, perform safe manual tool insert swaps, monitor cutting edge degradation during shifts, and enter basic wear offset values.

  Basic Preventive Maintenance: Carry out basic machine housekeeping tasks, such as removing metal chips, keeping an eye on lubricating oil indicators, and modifying the ratios of water-soluble coolant.

  Geometric blueprint literacy includes matching work instructions, recognising important dimensional boundaries, comprehending standard datum lines, and reading and interpreting basic blueprint characteristics.

   

  Focus Skills:

  CNC Control Interface Literacy: The ability to navigate screens and keep an eye on program line tracking using a functional understanding of typical CNC machine control screens, such as those made by Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or Mazak.

  Precision Gauging & Inspection Competency: The ability to reliably operate standard mechanical inspection equipment, such as go/no-go gauges, dial test indications, bore indicators, and outside diameter micrometres.

  Machining Blueprint Interpretation: Processing visual machining symbols, tracking localised dimensional tolerances, and reading component drawings with perfect accuracy.

  Sensory Machine Monitoring Intuition: The proactive capacity to differentiate between abnormal structural sound changes, excessive chip binding, and tool edge burning from typical cutting patterns.
