  Responsibilities:

  Supervise, train, and deploy Quality Inspectors and Technicians across operational shifts to ensure continuous quality coverage on production lines.

  Monitor incoming material inspection (IQC), in-process quality gates (IPQC), and final inspection (FQC) to maintain compliance with engineering drawings and GD&T standards.

  Direct immediate containment procedures, quarantine non-conforming materials, issue shop-floor Stop Production Notices when out-of-spec conditions occur, and manage line re-clearances.

  Lead initial failure investigations and support Quality Engineers in 8D Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5-Why analysis, and implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

  Track and report key shop-floor quality metrics, including Scrap Rate, First Pass Yield (FPY), Customer Returns, and Defect-PPM levels during daily production review meetings.

  Oversee calibration schedules for shop-floor gauges, handheld precision tools, and testing equipment, ensuring all tools are validated and within calibration intervals.

  Ensure strict compliance with Quality Management Systems, safety regulations, and 5S cleanliness across inspection stations and testing labs

   

  Required Skills: 

  Strong leadership, supervisory, and conflict-resolution skills to manage shift inspectors and interface effectively with production line leaders.

  Deep understanding of mechanical engineering drawings, process instructions, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

  Hands-on proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, bore gauges) and basic metrology tools.

  Practical knowledge of quality problem-solving tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis) and basic Statistical Process Control (SPC).

  Familiarity with Quality Management System standards and shop-floor ERP/QMS data logging
